Further details of Icom IC-F6062 UHF Mobile Two-Way Transceiver Radio

• The rugged die-cast chassis and polycarbonate front panel are resistant to shock and vibration. When used with the optional separation kit, the remote control head has dust-protection and splash resistant construction, equivalent to IP54.
• With the optional remote control kit, RMK-3 and separation cable, the front panel of the radio can be detached from the main unit. It allows you flexible installation even in limited installation space.
• The IC-F5062 / IC-F6062 series has a large dot matrix display to show information with high resolution characters. With a high contrast dot matrix display, upper and lower case characters can be easily distinguished. You can change the display setting to show one line and 12 characters, or two lines and 24 characters via programming. LCD backlighting is standard.
• 4 watts (typ.) front mounted speaker delivers clear and loud audio. The built-in audio compander improves the signal to noise ratio.
• Up to 512 memory channels can be divided into 128 memory zones, and allows you quick access to the intended channel.
• Built-in SEL 2/5, CTCSS, DTCS coder/encoder and DTMF autodial.
• The integrated SEL5 code transmitter and receiver allows selective identification and calling.
• The 5-Tone signalling (encoder/decoder) gives you selective calling, quiet stand-by and other convenient functions with programming. The radio kill/stun functions disable a lost or stolen radio over the air, eliminating security threats from undesired listeners. When the stun command is received, all functions will be temporary locked out until the revive command is received or the unlock password is entered.
• With the UT-126H digital unit, the following digital functions are available: Digital/analogue mixed mode operation; Digital/analogue mixed mode scan; Up to 64 RAN (Radio Access Number) settings for digital code squelch; Individual, Talkgroup and All Call; Data call (12-characters); Status message/request; Digital Encryption using 15-bit encryption key; Call alert; Radio check; Radio stun/kill/revive; Remote monitor; Emergency call; Simultaneous GPS position report with voice call
• Channel spacing: 12.5/20/25Khz; PLL channel step: 2.5, 3.125Khz (VHF); 5, 6.25Khz (UHF)
• BIIS 1200 compatible
• Built-in inversion type voice scramble. When a more secure system is required, the 32 code non-rolling-type voice scrambler UT-109R and 1020 code rolling type UT-110R are available as an option.
• Built-in audio compander
• Microphone hanger action programmable
• Power ON password
• D-SUB 25-pin connector for PC connecting various external devices
• New scanning features have been added allowing migration from other radio brands.
- Mode dependent scan ... when the user changes the operating channel, the scanning list automatically changes following that channel setting.
- Tx channel programmable ... The Tx channel is the channel the radio transmits when the user pushes the PTT button while scanning. The Tx channel can be programmable per scanning list from start, last detected, priority and pre-programmed channels.
- Talk back function ... allows you to transmit on the detected channel when scanning stops or soon after scanning resumes, prior to the Tx channel setting.
- Talk back timer beep ... alerts you of the end of the talk back time with a beep sound.
- Nuisance delete ... Users can temporary skip a busy channel from the scanning list.
- Monitor key action ...A user can stop a scan when pushing the monitor button)
• When the Lone Worker function is turned ON, and no operation is performed for the specified time period*, the transceiver enters the emergency mode, and then the countdown for the emergency call transmission starts. After the specified time period* has passed, an emergency call is automatically transmitted once, or repeatedly*. (*Depending on the presetting.)
• Time-out-timer (TOT): The time-out timer limits continuous transmission time period to prevent accidental prolonged transmission.
• Busy, repeater lockout function
• Surveillance function (The radio turns of LED light and beep sound)
• Equivalent to MIL-STD 810 C, D, E, and F requirements
