Nor are they subject to registration or any special authorisation to be used throughout the European Union. What types of devices does the guidance system consist of?
The guide system consists of 1 transmitter and any number of receivers. Naturally, the transmitter unit itself is located at the guide's place, while the receivers are located at the tour participants' place. Tour guides often connect a microphone to their equipment. For convenience, group members can also use headphones or neck straps. We recommend that you consult the detailed technical data sheet of the TourGuide system you have chosen, which will provide you with information on the accessories available from the manufacturer as well as the contents of the complete kits before ordering.
What range does the TourGuide system operate in?
The tour guide systems available in the DND Telecom webshop have a range of 200 and 300 metres. This range is fully sufficient to ensure that all hikers in the group can enjoy the tour in perfect sound quality.
What signal transmission technology does the TourGuide system use?
TourGuide devices transmit data wirelessly. They do this in the 2.4 to 2.5 GHz frequency range. This is the so-called ISM band, which is a licence-free frequency band that has been released worldwide for industrial, scientific and medical purposes. Radio communications are free to use in this frequency band. However, this also means that others can use this band, so transmissions can interfere with each other. However, when using the Albrecht-branded guiding systems available from the DND Telecom webshop, members of the group will enjoy uninterrupted communication thanks to the 50 available channels.
How to set up and use TourGuide?
The TourGuide is designed from the outset to be easy to use. The channel you want is selected using two large, textured buttons. Even older people can easily operate this size button. All the information you need is displayed on an easy-to-read screen. The volume knob allows tour participants to control the volume of the transmission themselves. But you can also set a channel lock function so that participants can't even change channels by mistake.
How long does it take to install and configure the tour guide system?
The Albrecht branded tour guide systems available in the DND Telecom webshop are not only easy to use, but also very quick to install. No specialist knowledge is required.
How often do you need to recharge the units of your tour guide system?
The Albrecht TourGuide units have a battery life of 18-20 hours. After that it is worth recharging the Li-ion batteries, which takes about an hour or two, and then the units can be used again. If the battery life is not sufficient, it is also worth getting a replacement battery, because as long as one battery is in use, you can charge the other one.
