We collect the net proceeds from these sales and then forward them to the Forest Savers Foundation, whose nature conservation and forest protection activities contribute to the preservation of Hungary’s natural heritage.

Tree planting for the price of a cup of coffee?

The tree-planting contribution is roughly the price of a cup of coffee. The net amount of the purchased contribution is used to fund tree-planting and maintenance projects and supports nature conservation efforts related to tree planting, forest preservation, habitat protection, and raising environmental awareness.

Does this make my order carbon-neutral?

We do not want to make any excessive or misleading promises. The tree-planting contribution does not automatically mean that the total environmental impact of a given order or its shipping carbon footprint will be exactly offset.

Since carbon sequestration occurs over the course of several years as trees grow, the contribution does not result in immediate carbon neutrality, but rather ensures its support over the long term.

This is important because responsible tree planting involves more than just planting a sapling. One must consider the appropriate tree species, the location, the planting time, post-planting care, and whether the planting will actually be viable and beneficial in that particular area.
