Our Environmental Commitments
At DND Telecom Center Kft., we believe that commercially sustainable, profitable operations and the responsible protection of our environment can go hand in hand.
As a company, our goal is to conduct our business in a sustainable manner with the lowest possible environmental impact, thereby setting an example for both our customers and partners.
For this reason, we commit to regularly assessing how we can take steps toward sustainable operations in each area, given our current circumstances. Starting in 2026, we are making the following commitments in each area and have identified future opportunities:
1. Electricity consumption
2. Natural gas and heat energy consumption
3. Water consumption
4. Use of chemicals required for office maintenance
5. Paper consumption required for office maintenance
6. Packaging consumption
7. Waste management
8. Logistics
9. Travel
10. Digital Footprint
11. Product Lifecycle
12. Employee Engagement
1. Electricity consumption
Electricity consumption is a constant environmental factor in our business operations, as our office equipment, lighting, IT systems, and the operation of our business premises all require energy. Our goal is to continuously reduce electricity consumption through mindful usage, energy-efficient equipment, and modern solutions. From an environmental perspective, the desired direction is to perform the same work with less energy consumption and a smaller carbon footprint.
|
2. Natural gas and thermal energy usage
Energy consumption related to heating, cooling, and the comfortable operation of the building can have a significant impact on the environment and therefore deserves special attention. We strive to use thermal energy sparingly, avoid unnecessary heating or cooling, and improve the building’s energy efficiency. The goal is to establish operations that provide a suitable environment for employees while reducing energy consumption and emissions.
|
3. Water consumption
Water is a valuable natural resource, which is why we consider economical and responsible water use to be important in our business operations. Although a commercial enterprise’s water consumption is typically not on an industrial scale, daily habits and well-maintained equipment can still make a significant difference. Our goal is to avoid waste, quickly repair leaks, and strengthen our employees’ water-conscious mindset.
|
4. Use of chemicals necessary for office maintenance
Keeping the office and business premises clean is necessary, but the use of cleaning agents and other chemicals can have an environmental impact. Therefore, we address in a separate section the decisions that can reduce unnecessary chemical use and prioritize more environmentally friendly products. Our goal is to maintain a hygienic work environment while minimizing the impact of chemicals on the environment and health.
|
5. Paper consumption required for office operations
Reducing paper consumption simultaneously promotes resource conservation, waste reduction, and more efficient administration. Many office processes can be replaced or simplified with digital solutions. Our goal is to use paper only when truly necessary and, wherever possible, recycled or responsibly sourced paper.
|
6. Packaging usage
As an online store and commercial enterprise, the use of packaging materials is a key environmental priority for us. Proper packaging protects the product, but it is also important not to use an excessive amount of material or materials that are difficult to recycle. Our goal is safe yet economical packaging, increasing the proportion of recyclable and reused materials, and reducing unnecessary packaging waste.
|
7. Waste management
Treating waste management as a separate chapter is important because the fate of the waste generated directly affects the environmental impact. We strive to reduce the amount of waste, promote selective collection, and ensure the proper handling of recyclable materials. Our environmental goal is to ensure that as little waste as possible ends up in landfills and that as many materials as possible remain in circulation.
|
8. Logistics
In the field of logistics, the primary environmental goal is to reduce fuel consumption, kilometers traveled, and travel time. By consciously organizing deliveries, procurement, and administrative tasks, we can reduce harmful emissions while also making operations more efficient. Our goal is to carry out transportation and logistics tasks in a more coordinated manner, with fewer unnecessary trips and better capacity utilization.
|
9. Travel
Employees’ commutes, business trips, and travel related to company business also contribute to our company’s environmental impact. That is why we consider it important to implement solutions that reduce individual car use, support conscious route planning, and prioritize more environmentally friendly modes of transportation. Our goal is to ensure that travel is truly necessary, well-organized, and has the lowest possible environmental impact given the circumstances.
|
10. Digital footprint
The energy consumption associated with online operations, data traffic, IT equipment, and cloud-based services is less visible but has a real environmental impact. That is why we treat the digital footprint as a separate area, since unnecessarily stored data, oversized systems, and wasteful digital processes also consume energy. Our goal is more conscious data management, extending the lifespan of IT equipment, and reducing the energy requirements of online operations.
|
11. Product circularity
Keeping products in circulation means ensuring that products, components, and packaging materials are used for as long as possible and do not become waste prematurely. As a commercial enterprise, we have a responsibility to encourage the use of durable, repairable products that can be supported with replacement parts and managed responsibly. Our goal is to extend the life cycle of products and, where possible, prioritize repair, reuse, or proper recycling over disposal.
|
12. Employee commitment
Environmental commitments only work in everyday life if employees understand, accept, and apply them in their own decisions. That is why awareness-raising, internal communication, and shared responsibility are key components of our environmental mission statement. Our goal is for sustainable operations to be part of our everyday work not as a separate task, but as a natural part of our corporate mindset.
