CR2430 Button Cell

Lithium batteries, such as the CR2430 button cell, can keep your devices working for a long time. What's more, these round energy cells can be stored for up to ten years without losing power. However, they need to be stored properly. What exactly does this mean? We need to keep them in a dry, cool place out of the sun. Read more...

But what if the date on the packaging has passed? In this case, there is no need to despair because even if the date has passed, the button cell can still be used under certain conditions. Since this mini battery has lost most of its energy at this point, in this case we only use it for devices that require minimal power to operate.

The CR2430 button cell is used in various toys, sports equipment, medical meters, calculators, remote controls. These round mini batteries have a diameter of 24 mm and a height of 3.0 mm, with a 3 V output. However, it does matter whether you buy a branded battery or a button cell from an unknown manufacturer. Why? Because some manufacturers have a capacity of around 150 mAh.

In contrast, the Varta brand button cell available in the DND Telecom webshop has a capacity of 290 mAh, almost double. But there is not such a big difference in price. This proves that in the long run it is better to buy a Varta button cell than a "no name" version. But that's not surprising, as the brand has been an expert in batteries and rechargeable batteries since 1887.
