Brief history of the Sirena brand
The company's history dates back to the 1960s. At that time, the Electra company was already in operation, a brand dedicated to the production of acoustic alarms and electromechanical sirens. As already mentioned above, in 1974 Alberto Garnerone founded the joint stock company Sirena, which included the former Electra. The following year the company created the first patented rotating beacon, the Rotallarm. This product is still considered the benchmark in the industry. In fact, in many countries, Rotallarm is still the common name for industrial rotating beacons.
In the 1980s, the company was selling its flashing lights and sirens not only in Italy but also in many other European countries. As the brand was already famous for its constant improvements, they developed a round warning sign, which they named "Boule". This round flashing light won the Best Design Award at the Hannover Messe in 1988. But it was not only in appearance that they were able to offer their customers something extraordinary, but also in technology. For example, in 1991 they developed a product called GDO, which had an incredibly strong magnetic base.
This base kept the magnetic base on the roof of the car stable at speeds of up to 200 km/h. But it is also worth mentioning the Elyps range, which consists of integrated LED multifunctional light modules.
