The first side button changes between the digital and analog radio modes. The channel selector knob is used to select one of the 16 channels available in the active zone.

The radio transmits the message spoken into the microphone while the PTT button is pressed. After the button is released, the radio returns to receive mode. The user should speak from a distance of approximately 5 cm from the microphone.

VOX hands-free transmission

The VOX function is switched on and off by pressing and holding the first side button. When enabled, the radio automatically begins transmitting when the microphone detects a specified sound level. After the user stops speaking, the radio automatically returns to receive mode.

Scan channel search

The channel scan is started by briefly pressing the second side button. The radio searches the available channels for active signals. When a signal is detected, the user has three seconds after the communication ends to reply on that channel. The scanning process then continues automatically.

Emergency alarm function

An emergency alarm siren is activated by pressing and holding the second side button. The siren is stopped by pressing the PTT button.
