The MES-TECH PTOP-12F motorized pop-up LED message display kit is designed to display pre-programmed alphanumeric messages. The LED panel rises automatically when the unit is switched on and retracts into its housing when switched off. In its retracted position, the display does not obstruct or restrict visibility when not in use.

MES-TECH DDD-12 LCD Controller

The PTOP-12F LED display is operated using the included MES-TECH DDD-12 LCD controller. This control unit is used to select pre-programmed messages and transmit them to the LED display.

DDD-12 Controller Compatibility

The PTOP-12F LED display requires the MES-TECH DDD-12 controller for correct operation. The earlier MES-TECH DDD controller was designed for a 10-character display.

Interchanging the two controller types does not cause equipment damage. However, using an incompatible controller results in incorrect or garbled text on the LED display.

PTOP-12F - Message Programming

Messages can be created and edited using the PC software supplied with the kit. The completed messages are transferred to the DDD-12 controller using the included programming data cable.

MES-TECH PTOP-12F - Operation and Controls

The unit is activated using the slide switch on the side of the controller. Once power is applied, the integrated motor raises the LED display panel.

• Switch on the device using the controller's side-mounted slide switch
• The LED display rises automatically using the integrated motor
• Select the required day or night brightness setting
• Navigate through stored messages using the arrow buttons
• Press the circular button to display the selected message
• Press the X button to blank the LED panel
• Switch off the device using the side-mounted slide switch
• The LED panel automatically retracts into its housing when switched off

Important: Do not place objects on top of the LED display, even when it is closed and fully retracted.
