The Icom AH-6 automatic antenna tuner can be used with wire antennas and 50-ohm antennas. It provides matching from 1.8 MHz to 54 MHz, with minimum wire-length requirements depending on the operating frequency.

AH-6 Antenna Connection

The AH-6 features an SO-239 antenna connector for direct connection of a 50-ohm antenna. A wire antenna and a 50-ohm antenna, such as a vertical or dipole antenna, can be selected with a switch.

AH-6 Automatic Tuning and Memory

Automatic tuning is initiated by pressing the TUNER switch on the connected transceiver. The 200-channel memory stores tuning settings, allowing re-tuning at the same frequency in approximately one second.
