Albrecht Wired Motor Intercom

A motorbike interpreter can be a great companion for a shorter trip, but you'll experience the real benefits on longer rides. There are basically two types, the wired and the bluetooth versions. In terms of price, the former is the more affordable, but in terms of practicality and actual use, the formula is not so clear-cut, and both types have advantages and disadvantages when compared. Wired motorised intercoms vs. bluetooth

Like all models, the wired motorised intercom is basically made up of two parts. One is the basic set. This is where you can connect your electronic devices, and it's also where you'll find the PTT (push to talk) button. The other part is the helmet set, which is the part that you have to put in the helmet. There are two types of helmet sets: closed and open.

Some wired motorcycle kits can be purchased in modular form, i.e. with a separate PTT push button for the motorcycle handlebars and a separate headset part, depending on the type of helmet you have.

In the case of wired models, these two parts are connected by cable as appropriate. The cable connecting the basic set and the headset has to be connected every time the helmet takes off and on, which is a clear disadvantage compared to wireless solutions.

However, as described above, the helmet transducer shows its advantages mainly during longer journeys, when driving for hours on end on motorways, through busy cities or even on stretches exposed to environmental influences such as strong winds. On such a journey, it is relatively less of a burden to perform this operation before every departure, while on a short trip or a trip with many stops, for example, the convenience of the bluetooth models is the main benefit, and in such a situation these systems can also meet the needs.

Motorbike intercoms and intercoms are not only excellent for motorcycling, but of course they can also be of great use to cyclists, touring and racing cyclists.

During a long journey, a possible disconnection or battery drain can be a major nuisance. Wireless models require more power to maintain a constant connection. Wired models, on the other hand, typically use 3 AAA batteries, which are suitable for long-distance use without the need to recharge the batteries frequently. Also, if you want to connect multiple devices to the device, wired solutions also have their advantages. Not only do you not have to worry about disconnection, but switching between devices is much faster and easier.

What should you consider when choosing a motorised intercom?

One of the most important considerations is noise cancellation and sound quality, so that when using a helmet-mounted intercom, the equipment minimises noise from traffic or environmental factors such as rain or wind. The Albrecht motorcycle intercom meets these requirements perfectly, so that there is nothing to spoil the travelling experience, whether you want to listen to some music or just the calming silence you need to concentrate.

Riding a motorcycle requires not only the right concentration, but also the use of both hands. That's why a conveniently positioned and easy-to-use PTT button is also an important aspect. A waterproof design is a basic requirement, which is fully met by the separately available Albrecht BHS motorised PTT button set.

Choose quality, choose Albrecht!

Albrecht's high quality products meet all the requirements you can rightly expect from such an accessory. You can choose a complete motorised intercom kit, but all components can also be purchased modular, i.e. the microphone and earpiece, the control kit and even the PTT button can be built into the helmet separately.
